Oggi vi mostro l'alberello di Natale che io e le mie coinquiline abbiamo fatto anche quest'anno nel nostro salottino. E' alto un metro e poco più e impreziosito da palline di vetro, bastoncini di cannelle e decorazioni di stoffa.

Uno dei quartieri di Londra che preferisco e' senz'altro ExMouth Market. 

ExMouth Market e' uno di quei quartieri dove ti senti a Londra per davvero. Puo' sembrare assurdo ma, soprattutto negli ultimi anni, sono sempre meno le zone che, personalmente, danno quell'autentico feeling londinese. Molte aree (Notting Hill, Soho, Central London etc) a mio parere stanno perdendo molta della loro originalità. Se una volta infatti il mercato di Notting Hill, ad esempio, era famoso per le sue botteghine di oggetti d'antiquariato e più o meno insoliti, oggi e' piuttosto difficile in qualcosa di non made in china e così via. A Soho nelle zone centrali sono numerosi gli Starbucks, Costa e Caffe Nero. 

Cute places #1: 1 N. 1 Fashion 'n Sourdough Pizza

Oggi voglio parlarvi di 1 N.1 un carinissimo pop-up fashion store/pizzeria che ha aperto da poco nel cuore dell'East London. SI trova al numero 70 di Paul Street EC2A 4NA.

Sardinia Road Trip

I've just come back from my holiday on the road in Sardinia. What a wonderful trip! 

Our journey started in Olbia and ended in Cagliari. We had such a great time in all the cities and beaches we visited. 

Budoni: a little gem of the Baronie Area on the north eastern coast of Sardinia.
We spent the first two days of our trip in the amazing Hotel Pedra Ruja. The residence is situated in a stunning panoramic position. From the window of our room we could admire Agrustos, Porto Ottiolu and the island of Tavolara.

Dorgali and Cala Gonone. Dorgali is a very small village in the province of Nuoro. In Dorgali we stayed at the lovely Sa Corte Antica that we found on AirBnB. We literally felt in love with this b&b. The rooms open onto an old courtyard and have been recently refurbished keeping a certain rustic charm.

From Cala Gonone it is possible to go for a boat excursion that allows you to admire the magnificent coast of the Gulf of Orosei. It makes three stops of about two hours each in the most beautiful beaches Cala Luna, Biriola and Mariolu or Cala dei Gabbiani. Our boat also stopped at the Grotta del Bue Marino, which I really recommend you to see. 

We then travelled towards Villasimius/San Vito, stopping at Arbatax, the largest hamlet of Tortolì. Arbatax is famous for being one of the most beautiful beaches of Ogliastra and for the characteristic red rocks, a cliff of red porphyry, which is located near the harbor, behind the east pier.

We also had a delicious dinner in Tortolì at Ittiturismo Arbatax where we had what seemed like an endless supply of fresh seafood. If I could have returned to this place again during my stay, I surely would have!

We then arrived at San Vito, where we stayed at Simona's House found on Airbnb as well. During our stay in San Vito we went to Costa Rei and Punta Molentis. Two beautiful beaches with white sand and crystal clear water.

Home Furniture #1: SPC

Oggi voglio parlarvi di un delizioso negozio d'oggetti d'arredamento. Il suo nome è SCP http://www.scp.co.uk/ ed è davvero una chicca per gli amanti dell'home decor. 
Si trova al 135-139 di Curtain Road, nel cuore dell' East London. 

Today I want to show you an amazing shop I found close to the place where I work. It's in East London and it's called SCP
It is definitely a must-see for those people who – like me – simply love home decor. Here is the address: 135-139 di Curtain Road

In particolare mi sono innamorata di tazze, bicchieri, piatti, tendaggi e cuscini dal tipico gusto londinese e un pò nordico. Ma lampade, sedie e tavoli hanno certo attirato la mia attenzione.

I found the tabletop section particularly appealing. I loved these mugs and plates, which have that characteristic london style. Also, I recommend you to have a look at cushions and blankets, which have really nice graphic patterns.

Invito quindi tutti ad entrare a dare un'occhiata se passate da quelle parti. Sono sicura che ne rimarrete piacevolmente colpiti.
